Shantytown Grill - Minneapolis

Was looking for a good burger place in Bloomington, Mn. Found the Shantytown grill. The burgers were excellent! They come with a choice of fries or tater tots. The fries were cooked just right, nice and crispy and the tots were good too! And they had beer on tap. The three of us ate for a total of about $35 bucks. We will go back for sure! And service was very good, we left her a nice tip and thanked her.

To thank a coworker who helped with a special project, he was asked what he wanted for lunch. He asked for a hamburger. I Googled for a place. Shantytown Grill was one of the options. Being it was out of the way , a local small business, and had really good reviews, we opted for SG...and they did not disappoint! We had Cheese Curds for an appetizer, 1919 root beer in a frosty mug to drink, and a Breakfast Burger, a Mexican Burger, and a Shanty Burger (no guacamole) for main course. Cheese curds are solid crispy outside, gooey in. The root beer was cd and tasty. All burgers were delicious, cooked just right and delivered at the right temperature. It 's a small mom and pop place, and they make you feel welcome and right at home! Next time you are in Bloomington, go the Shantytown Grill!
