Taberna Street Tacos - Minneapolis

Came in on a quiet Tuesday for lunch and was invited onto a spacious patio dotted with cheery yellow chairs. We didn?t realize there was a taco special on Tuesdays street tacos are $2.22 each. The selection is expansive, interesting and diverse Korean, Vegan Chorizo, Crispy Shrimp, Baja Fish, Carne Asade, etc For $2, I wasn?t expecting the tacos to be very big orfilling. Boy was I wrong!!! Every taco I ordered was stuffed full of fresh ingredients. The fish on the Baja fish taco washuge and the Carne Asada was over flowing with bits of savory steak. I ordered 4 tacos and was full after eating only 2. Theonion rings were very unique, the shell was crispy and reminiscent of an egg roll. Onion rings tasted surprisingly light andnot greasy at all. Hubby proclaimed them to be the best onion rings he has ever tasted! The coconut tres leches was decadentand moist. Check it out if you are looking to end your meal with a sweet treat. The absolute highlight of our experience atTaberna Tacos was the service. My daughter has food allergies and the owner actually took the time to learn our names andnavigate through the menu with us. He was so genuinely warm and kind and even made a custom allergy friendly dessert forher. We didn?t have any issues with parking by the restaurant and if outside spots are full, there is a parking garage withspots for patrons. We didn?t explore the inside too much but saw some arcade games and lots of big screens. Air conditioningwas a bit strong and it felt a bit chilly indoors. Thankfully it was perfect on the patio. Taberna is casually upscale andhip, blending in perfectly with the aesthetic of the Bde Maka Ska area. It?s the kind of place you could dress up a bit to havedrinks with friends or come in totally casual with your kids it all works at Taberna : We had an absolutely wonderfulexperience at Taberna and can?t wait to visit again and hope you visit too!

Great and friendly staff makes you feel like you are welcome from the moment you walk in. My server was Nikki and she was super helpful and even helped me with a slightly odd drink order. Definitely worth multiple visits! Also music is kept reasonableenough you can hear it well but still can have a conversation.

Great environment for friends having a happy hour, a meal with family, and anything in between. The food is delicious and for a very good price. Wonderful, friendly staff too! A friend and I shared Tacos for Two and it was awesome! The Elote was so yummyand the tres leche was one of the best I?ve tasted!

Tacos are delicious!!! Corn on a stick is super delicious too! All I can say is this place is super good I always have an amazing experience whenever I go. Also, Stephanie is such an amazing waitress super kind . This is definitely my favoritespot now .
