Applebee's Grill - MIRAMAR BEACH

Walked over to have a nice dinner at around 9pm, they close at 11pm. There was a family already waiting. Waited about 5 minutes before anyone acknowledged us, we were told it would be a 15 min wait. Many tables were empty, and there were very few customers so it seems that they were severely short staffed. As always, went to check the restrooms and coincidently I walked in right behind an employee and he did nothing about the condition of the restroom. Floor was sticky, seems that it had not been mopped all day or more, trash everywhere and well, see pictures. Should get 0 stars. We walked right out. Eat at your own risk.

Service was poor. We arrived and waited a couple of minutes to be seated in a nearly empty restaurant. Then waited about 5 min to have some water delivered to our table. About 10 minutes goes by before the waiter takes our order. 10 minutes later the same waiter comes over and asks us if we're gotten menus yet?! He say ms that he has a problem that he's dealing with. We tell him no problem it's OK. Within a few minutes there are just some people at the bar and us at a table. Then some people come in and sit at the bar and a few minutes later two people sit at a table. The people at the bar order food and a few minutes later they get served. It's been 45 min since we ordered and still no food and our waiter is no where to be found. We're contemplating getting up and leaving when another waiter shows up and delivers food to the two people at the booth near us. I stand up and approach that waiter and I ask what is going on? He asks if our order was a chicken bowl and chicken/shrimp? I say yes and he says oh, that should be out in a minute. A couple of mins more and our waiter brings out the chicken and shrimp plate. Another couple of min goes by and then my wife's chicken salad bowl arrives, but he didn't bring us any utensils. Then he runs off. He stood by and asks how's everything and we ask for utensils so we can eat the salad he dropped off. We expected that with all this calamity, that they might comp us for part of our meal, but nope. Also, while we were there the music was loud and was playing a wide variety from country to rap and electronic. We felt the music volume and type was more consistent with a bar that had dancing. Overall a terrible experience. I typically avoid Applebees because of the service and this only reaffirms my opinion based on prior experiences. I never heard what the problem was but they should do better at shielding their customers from the problems. Or explain the issues to us before hand so we can decide if we want to go somewhere else.

Worst dining experience we have had in years. We are locals and my wife keeps asking why this place isn 't busier. We went there for lunch today to see, and we found out. The food is pretty subjective, because not everyone likes the same thing. We had the all you can eat wings. They were tasty, but the breaking on the chicken is very thick and overpowers the chicken and sauce. Our waiter took our order and then disappeared! When he finally returned with the order he was gone quickly and didn 't come back! We had to flag down other wait staff to get a refill. Then he came back and asked if he could help! I told him what I had ordered from the other waiter and asked to make sure they included another order of fries. He told me the fries would be extra because they are not all you can eat! The menu says 'endless ' fries. I asked to speak to the manager and the waiter came back to tell me the manager was too busy to come to the table, but he would refill the fries! I am usually a great tipper, expecially if the server is on top of their game. Other than today, I can 't remember when I left a restaurant and didn 't leave the server a tip. We have stopped at other Applebee 's in other areas and been reasonably happy with the food and service. This place needs new management, but I don 't know if that will even save it now.

Told there was a 30 min wait, and had no one else talk to us. There was only 6 tables were occupied and this lady told me she couldn 't sit us after us waiting 20 mins. I would never recommend this restaurant to ANYONE....!!! The whole staff was extremely rude....

NASTY! Terrible customer service and super dirty floors and tables. Surly hostess barely spoke to us, and practically threw the menus at us. Asked her if everything was alright, but she just stalked away. Food was just okay, but it took 20 minutes just to get our salads. The waiter only checked on us once, so had to ask another waiter for drink refills. We would see him talking to other employees or back in the kitchen, but impossible to flag him down. I Got up to use the restroom and the old stained carpet was a minefield everywhere with food, debris and hair. The bathroom was out of order due to flooding and a bad smell came from there. How does this place space inspection? Felt really sick after seeing all the fifth in that restaurant guess they don't own a vacuum? Hadn't been cleaned in months looked like.! We won't be back. Too bad because we live in town part of the year.
