The BBQ was very good atmosphere could use a little
Food was good, had the ribs, tender, sweet sauce. Wife said the smoked chicken was dry and tasteless.
If I could eat those bbq beans by the gallon, I would. Sooo good! Ribs were great, sauce is tasty and they fell right off the bone. Cornbread was super yummy. Coleslaw was good (wish it were a titch more tangy and sweet) and the Mac n cheese was cheesy deliciousness. Staff is wonderful and this place should be packed all the time! What an amazing gem to find on our way back home from the north shore. Worth the stop in Pine City!
We dropped by for lunch on a Saturday (our 20th 'cue stop in the Gopher state, and the 394th nationwide), to be warmly greeted by the husband and wife team who own the restaurant and churn out the BBQ. With Blues music playing in the background, we ordered Loaded Tater Tots, a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, additional sides of baked beans and cornbread, and a diet drink (Coke products), The bill came to $32.70 plus tip, and was well worth it. The tots were crispy, and the pulled pork on both plates nicely smoked, moist and tasty. The sandwich came sauced, so be sure and ask for the sauce on the side if you are doing take out. The sides are outstanding. The beans are exceptional, and here 's a hint: pour them over the tater tots! The cornbread is light and moist, and the coleslaw the perfect palate cleansing bite for a meal in which you are moving back and forth between two or more meats. In sum, this is destination 'cue, and one of the best of the twenty BBQ restaurants we have reviewed in Minnesota.Parking: There is a lot across the street, and on street parking in front of the restaurant.
