Avani Asian Indian Bistro - Mississauga

I would recommend this place 10/10!Service was exceptional and ambiance was cozy.Food is really good I would recommend to follow their suggestions. The lady helped us with their signature dishes and everything turned out to be great!

Avani is hands down one of the most authentic Indian restaurants in Mississauga. The ambiance is delightful filled with fragrance of delicious food.Daal makhani could have more Daal in it but what we had was really good as well.Lots of vegetarian and vegan options on the menu.Manchow soup was soul touching full of garlic, ginger and minced veggies. Looks more like a clear soup. I could see myself having a bowl of this soup on a cozy winter night at the table next to windows at Avani!Looking forward to trying out different items on the menu in the coming months.Didn’t expect an Indian restaurant to serve a good salad but we tried if regardless. I must say that they didn’t disappoint us with the mango salad. Curious to taste other salads on the menu.PS. Their Roomali Roti is a must.

We visited the restaurant while on our way back from a long drive and were hungry. However I must say that the place really enchanted us. We ordered Veg dishes and non veg dishes and Biryani. The food tasted mind-blowing. Even better than some of the good restaurants in India. The taste was real authentic and spot on. The service of the team was good and so was the ambience. One small nag was that whenever sizzlers were being brought in for guests, the whole of the hall was getting filled with the smoked . Other than that everything else was 5 star.

Both of us love Indian food, so my hubby celebrated my birthday at Avani. ?We loved the chicken lollipops! They were so delicious! ? The combination of their crispiness and the flavorful marinade on the chicken wings truly stood out. ? It was an absolute must-order. Also, we ordered the butter chicken and added garlic naan. The butter chicken was the top-notch and paired perfectly with the fresh made garlic naan. The lamb biryani was presented with a covering of bread, this presentation I hadn't seen before. This classic style preserves the warmth and flavors perfectly.Also, I received a complimentary birthday chocolate fudge cake from Avani. It was a delightful treat! ? While we were also tempted by the coconut fried ice cream. Unfortunately, we were too full to try it. ?

This was my second time. Several years ago I have been there and service wasn’t great but food was amazing and a bit overpriced. Thankfully, service has much improved but….sadly food quality is now well below average and it is very expensive for its offering. The interiors are now very much dated and feels like an average Indian restaurant. Not recommended.
