While still in the muting mood, he took me in, then said you can sit anywhere . When the waitress brought my spaghetti plate, she spilled shrimp and sauce on my table. Without saying a word to me, she used her hand to pick the shrimp, went back to kitchen and came back. Not sure if it was the same plate and same shrimp again. Another man in black uniform came to clean and said sorry he was the only one who knew how to handle a situation . in short, food was ok, I could give 5 stars, the man and the waitress is 0 star, but the man in black uniform saved this rating, I rated 3 stars because of him.
Food: 1.5 3 Service: 0 1 Atmosphere: 1 1 1 handicap for being in an airport Ok so the criteria for rating this is going to be very heavily based on this restaurant being in an airport. It was morning and we were looking for a place to get breakfast. Lo and behold this restaurant was right next to our gate and so we decided to sit down. They definitely put effort into the decor and comfort, and honestly I think they did their best considering the circumstances, so that is a plus. The service it seemed like they had one waiter who was nice but seemed to struggle with English and maybe even only one cook at the time. Almost half the seats were full at one point and it seemed nobody had their meal. My group was one of the first to be seated and our order taken so we got ours in a relatively decent time, but I'm not sure how it was for everyone else. Nevertheless it seems that their staff is split WAY thin and they could benefit from hiring more servers. I felt bad watching the one guy struggle with communication but still doing his best to multitask 3 tables at once. The food I'm not really sure how else to describe it other than it was quite edible. Everything was a bit bland and I cleared my plate with no complaints, but definitely nothing especially good to say about it either. My overall thoughts? Meh. Wasn't good, wasn't bad. Decent place to have a sit down meal and a drink, though they should definitely hire more people. Would I come here again? Possibly, since options are limited and I had nothing really negative to say about my experience.
Boccone Trattoria Veloce is an interesting restaurant, especially since it is located in the Toronto Pearson International Airport.I was going into the restaurant anticipating that it would be a good experience, but when I arrived at the destination, it felt short of my expectations. The staff seemed on edge and all over the place, running around and trying to do so many things at the same time.I thoroughly enjoyed the fries that came with my meal , as I ordered a Chicken Parmesan sandwich with a Mill Street Organic beer. That's all I have to say about my experience as I arrived early for my flight and needed a place to relax and it didn't live up to that potential.I would avoid this restaurant when visiting the Toronto Pearson International Airport.
I don’t know why I expected so much of this place, it’s airport food. Maybe because it said Massimo Capra but either way it was not a good experience. Ordered the Spaghetti Con Gamberetti and the shrimp was really rubbery and my pasta had no zuchini or chili flakes which is probably why it wasn’t spicy at all even though the menu said it would be spicy. My husband got the chicken parm sandwich on a dry stale bun and burnt fries. Also asked for prosecco as they have on the menu but the waitress said they don’t actually have prosecco there it’s just some cheap local sparkling and they mix it in the mimosas as well even though the menu also says prosecco for the mimosa. The waitress also kept rushing us and trying to grab our food from the table to wrap when we clearly weren’t finished eating even though there were lots of empty tables. Anyway, I just didn’t want anyone to go in with high expectations because it will not live up to them. But then again, it’s airport food.
We went to this restaurant on a layover on our way to Quebec City. The first thing that came out of our waitresses mouth was, I kid you not, I am sick and I don’t want to be here. From then on, it was a disaster. From them running out of paninis, to the waitress coming back with a stray in a bare hands and putting it herself in the drink remember, she’s sick , to us still not getting our food after 45 minutes, to then being told that there was no Caesar salad but being offered no option , to being told that our drinks would be free, then saying that they wouldn’t be, then saying that our bill would be 50 off, to it only being 50 off our food. And also, we asked to speak to the manager and were told that he was busy. I told the waitress that she needed to go and get him. And what did she say… That that wasn’t her job. To which I replied, it’s not my job either. It was an absolutely awful experience and I will NEVER eat here again or recommend it to anyone.
