This was my first visit to the restaurant, and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered some tapas and absolutely loved the "pfanne con tomate" – it was incredibly delicious! The patatas bravas were beautiful, served hot and crispy, and the combination of the Bravas sauce with the aioli was addictive. The Iberian ham croquettes were wonderfully creamy and melted in my mouth. The brittle skewers were perfectly caramelized. The octopus tapas we tried were tender and well-seasoned. While I found the mushroom, artichoke, and red pepper dish to be a delicate delight, my two companions really enjoyed it. The service was excellent, and I appreciated the cozy atmosphere of the restaurant, especially being able to see into the kitchen through the window. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be returning!
We discovered a spacious Spanish tapas restaurant at the peaceful end of Port Credit! Initially, we considered driving to Toronto for dinner, but we were pleasantly surprised by Bar Catalina!
We had cod fritters which were delicious- wonderful texture- We then shared Paella Valenciennes. It was tasty and surprisingly moist, perhaps a trifle disappointing but good nonetheless. Service by a new waitress was superb, although I am tired of restaurants serving warm tap water from flasks and thinking thatâs acceptable as drinking water . The noise level was very high when the restaurant filled which it usually does on a Saturday night. We have been to Spain so our standards for paella are high. This falls short although pretty good. A nice little neighborhood spot better than most.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!!! Will be returning again!
