My wife and I came for an early dinner and ordered lunch specials, which seemed like the best deal. We both ordered the marinated beef, which also came with a salad, rice a miso soup, dumplings and noodles with an onion and black bean sauce. We were told that the black bean noodle dish was very popular and I can see why, it was very tasty. The meal was tasty, average and good value for the $9.88 plus tax. We aren't very familiar with Korean food and the menu is large and not overly descriptive. I would recommend going with someone that knows what to order. The space is well decorated and the ordering system is pretty cool, there are buttons on the table to make requests. If people wanted to go here I would go back, but there are (in my opinion) better Korean restaurants in the area.
This place has nothing special, just an average Korean restaurant. The Steamed Pork Ribs with Mukeunj (Spicy Pork ribs with old Kimchi) is good, but it is not consistent. Every time is a surprise. The GamJaTang is ok in cold winter days.
I am pleased to have discovered Song Cook's downtown location! Their uptown branch is known as one of the top spots for Korean cuisine.
We visit the Mississauga location frequently and have sampled many of their menu items.
