Freshly fried, hot and crispy, smothered in white gravy. The mashed potatoes were just okay, likely from a box. The green beans were terrible. I believe they were described as “loaded”. They were limp, oddly colored canned beans cooked with bits of pork or ham or something. Sour and burnt tasting. I would try the dinette again, but I'd p … – show
All we tried was the maid rite. Nothing else. It was big, bun not steamed, and meat cold. Not what I've been used to at other maid rites. Service was awesome. Just can't give a better review when what they advertise is cold and not great. Go there if you want....just don't get the maid rite. Or ask them to microwave it for 15 seconds before the bring it to you.
A long standing tradition for good food while visiting the area. Great ice cream shakes
We were sat right away (2pm). Server was extremely attentive and pleasant. Oreo milkshake was really good but the food was not. I got 1 Maid-Rite, a house salad, and a cup of chili. I'm not a fan of the loose, unseasoned meat on the Maid-Rite. Glad I only ordered one. The chili tasted like old tomato paste. I'd rather eat Wendy's glob of chili. Boyfriend got a burger, and it was so-so. Definitely a tourist trap. It reminds me of a cheap Cracker Barrel with the gift shop.
Fast and friendly service. Great food. Especially the chicken tender platter. I will be back.
