Albackens Trädgårdsskafferi is a rare gem along the E4, offering homemade lunches, cakes, and good coffee. Located conveniently near highway exit 109 in Mjölby, this place is a must-visit. Their green pea soup with homemade bread comes highly recommended. The staff is friendly, and the environment is cozy.

To find Albackens Tradgardskafferi you need to turn off the main E4 road just after Mjölby (if you are driving towards Stockholm). A bit trick but the search is well worth it. The menu was very nice and tempting and the food is made there! No factory produced, microwave heated highway diner mush. Here they serve the real thing. And the nice women who run the place are just as pleasant. Greta place, which also happens to double as a shabby chic graden centre. Interesting combo!

The restaurant is located quite near the big road E4, making it an excellent restaurant for people on the road. The menu is varied and well cooked the potato salad was absolutely great. We will definitely return!
