Kobe Sushi Buffet - Modesto

I'm not a sushi fan, but my kids are. My son recommended a few items to try. I was NOT disappointed. They also have a Chinese Mongolian BBQ buffet too. Delicious food and great service.

There aren’t many all you can eat places anytime, much less really good ones. We travel all the way from Stockton to come eat here which can be 30-45 minutes each way. Do yourself a favor and wait to sit by the boars…fresh sushi going right in front of you whatever you want.

Solid four stars. I drive from Stockton to Modesto to eat here. About 75 miles round-trip. The little sushi boats float in front of you and you can choose whatever you like. And as much as you like. Or you can sit at a booth or a table. You can order whole sushi rolls also. Included in the price! They have a Mongolian barbecue which I never tried but it looks good. Also the Chinese buffet with an assortment of soups, Chinese dishes steamed buns, chow mein and desserts. They used to have little cups of ice cream for dessert, but no longer. I miss those. You really can’t go wrong here. It’s a decent place with decent food. Not gourmet but you won’t go away hungry.

The service at this restaurant is exceptional and incredibly warm. The food is absolutely amazing; I've been enjoying sushi for years at some of the best places in San Francisco and beyond. With family from Japan and experience making sushi at home, as well as having run three coffee shops, I can confidently say that this place is clean and exceptionally well-managed. We've celebrated special occasions here with friends, my wife and I choose it as our go-to date night spot, and my daughter and I treasure our time spent together here. In short, my whole family loves this restaurant. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Kevin, who is truly a wonderful person. The staff is kind and skilled at accommodating guests with disabilities, contributing to the warm atmosphere. I highly recommend coming hungry, as you'll enjoy every bite and want to sample everything on the menu!

Although the venue isn't particularly lavish, the outstanding food and service more than make up for it. They offer a wide variety of dishes at the steam table, including Kobe chicken, chow mein, and plenty more. One of the standout features is the small boats that sail around the winding lunch counter, serving plates of sushi. Even better, you can order any sushi rolls you desire as many times as you want. You definitely get great value for your money here. I've been there several times and I've always left satisfied.
