Stewart Jasper Co Store - Modesto

During my trip from Sonoma to LA, I stopped by and was greeted by Nancy, who was working at the time. She was friendly and polite as I browsed through the variety of snacks. I've yet to try one of their mixes that I haven't loved, and they make excellent gifts for those who aren't from California. If you're in the area or just passing through, I highly recommend checking them out and picking up some treats.

During my visit, I tried two varieties of flavored almonds they sell. The Jake's maple almonds had a woody taste and a mushy texture that didn’t pair well with straight bourbon, but complemented sweeter cocktails nicely. In contrast, the S&J asiago cheese almonds had a processed flavor reminiscent of flavored potato chips, which went perfectly with some nitrate-heavy salami. Overall, this shop is a much better option for a break than your typical rest stop or gas station, making it a worthwhile stop when you need a driving break or if you're staying at the nearby Patterson Best Western.

The selection of impressive products and reasonable prices were great, but what stood out the most was the excellent customer service. It made our stop truly memorable, and we’re sure to return on our way home. Thank you!

Great place. Amazing selection of wine. They also have great gift baskets. If you are looking for fine wine in Patterson or on the West Side this is the place.
