What a disappointment! After our disappointment regarding the hotel services of this establishment which are very far from being at the height of the standing of a 4-star, we hoped that the culinary show promised on their website would be at the rendezvous as we had made online (as they never answer the phone and do not return your calls) a reservation for the two evenings of our stay. Well, no! As you can see, I'm not a follower of opinions, and I'm writing very little. On the other hand, it seems essential to me when the difference in quality versus price ratio is shocking. To begin with, we ordered 2 cups of champagne that was mediocre, served without amuses-bouches. At 12€ the cut, you are entitled to expect at least a few peanuts. But when we read the Chapter I menu, we are reassured because it includes culinary delights, ephemeral flies. So why is it in the plural, I don't know, because this pumpy title describes a mini-sheet (2 cm x 1cm) with tomato served on its own in a large hollow plate?? After our stupefaction, we laughed. Then came our entrances, followed by our main dishes and the joke would be lost. The dishes are good, though without pretention, but the portions are infinitely small. We were so hungry that we ordered a plate of cheese what we never do to dinner, and then what to say. We stayed butt-mouthed in front of what they call the Palette cheese tasting at 11€ which literally consists of 5 lamelles of cheese, 3 hazelnuts and 1 salad sheet. The desserts have no interest, tiny too, and I will not dare to serve the Reuilly at 47€ the bottle, which we have not finished, to anyone! The restaurant itself is rather elegant offering a sublime view of the river, but that is not enough. Certainly, gastronomic restoration is not synonymous with quantity, however it is necessary to make sure not to fall into ridicule. I am too high to take pictures at a meal which is regrettable on this occasion. To be avoided, guaranteed disappointment. We canceled our reservation for the second evening we spent in another restaurant in the region that keeps its promises. However, a special mention for the young server/runner whose kindness and enthusiasm have so much lessened our deep disappointment.
