By chance we ended up at “Kult und Genuss” this evening and the first impression wasn’t the worst. Small drawback at the beginning The restaurant is not located directly on the street and is difficult to see in the dark. We only found it on the 2nd. circumnavigation The reception was very friendly and the impression of the restaurant aroused curiosity. Very tastefully decorated, very quiet and pleasant, not intrusive background music. The map also aroused curiosity. Various 3 to 4 course menus but also individual dishes. Prices slightly above normal but in keeping with the ambience. The wine recommendation is also very good. As a starter we chose salmon rolls or vitello tonato. An idiosyncratic creation but very tasty, although a bit confusing. However, we were more than disappointed with the prawns in chilli. It was more of a tasteless mass of something soaked in oil and fat with some lamb 's lettuce. We are still discussing whether there is a second chance. What doesn 't fit with the ambience of the house at all is the small hallway to the toilet. Not a nice sight for guests. Hence the deduction for the ambience.

A nice location for our Christmas party. Friendly staff, inviting atmosphere, great so far. Unfortunately, the food was a total failure at least the vegetarian and vegan ones. Best location in downtown! Sit outside in almost Mediterranean ambience. Excellent food, small but excellent menu, and for the connoisseurs after eating still outstanding spirits: from gin, rum and whisky and. all at the beginning! I like to be there!

It's time for 5 stars again! This evening was very pleasant. From homemade bread and delicious olive oil to the appetizer top and as main dishes, the cult burgers and Thai curry were best pampered with espresso until the last cake. Along with the interesting wine recommendations between and the relaxed, unflattered atmospheres, the cult-eud fun has its own place in the Mönchengladbacher gastronomy. Service Manager Niklas also told us about the new concept. Here we have the feeling of what is lived in cult and pleasure, namely the joy of special, without having to look at it.
