The first visit happened in the week the restaurant opened to understandably, there were things that needed to be ironed out. That said, the Malay couple that ran the place served authentic Malay cuisine, something I felt like I could order from any food court back in Singapore. We walked past and saw the sign on the door. It is unfortunate that it closed as it was a decent place.
This restaurant is operated by Singaporeans. I am a fan of their Nasi Lemak with fried chicken wing and plain prata. Be prepared to wait for the prata though ! I have tried their beef rendang (it's the malay style, not indonesian style) if this is what you are after.
My friend convinced me to come to this restaurant, even though I was in the mood for sushi and he wanted laksa.
Laksa Bar is a modest restaurant that serves some of the best laksa in Melbourne.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food at this restaurant. As a Malaysian who enjoys cooking, I had low expectations but was impressed by the flavors and dishes served here.
