Fantastic service, fantastic eating and great wine. very patient with us with a 15 month running. we were there early before all locals really came to dinner, so that worked well.

Typical restaurant in the centre of Monchique. Very good service in a genuine and authentic family restaurant. Go for “Cozido à moda de Monchique” or “Bochechas estufadas”. Ensured to like it!

Beautiful traditional restaurant for local cuisine. The food is very good and at a good price. We had the garlic shrimp starters (big shrimps in bowls), black pork grilled and grilled main (slanguistine).

We were recommended to book this restaurant in June. Despite several phone calls, an email and 2 messages on Facebook Messenger, I did not receive any response. The website explains the opening hours and there is no indication that the restaurant... is permanently closed. Hopefully the owners can read this!

We had a wonderful dinner here. The place we had hoped to go was closed on Sunday, lucky us! The pork in the oven was tender and delicious and the soup with beans, rice, chestnuts, and much more was out of this world. I am...still dreaming about it! The place had a nice feel. All the tables were marked reserved but they kept letting people sit who didn't have a booking. And the reservation tables never showed up so not sure what is up with that but we were happy. Recommend!!
