Mary Brown's Famous Chicken & Taters

Juicy and cooked to order fried chicken. 5.55 lunch time meal. Good fast stop while travelling through. Clean, brand new chain.

I had high expectations for Mary Brown's. It's a icon from Newfoundland and was really excited to try it out. Although the staff was friendly and the food served promptly, it did not come near what I expected in terms of flavor. You see that is where I have a problem. Everything was greatly prepared, fresh and all that but the fried chicken was bland. The taters and gravy though I must say where awesome but not great enough to make me want to come back. Maybe I will try Mary Brown's when I visit Newfoundland( I plan to one day) but for now, I will stick to KFC...and that my friends, is a sad thing to have to say...

My husband and I decided to try this new to Moncton Restaurant. The Chicken was very greasey and the fries were not cooked. Still raw inside and over cooked on the outside. Too bad, but I will never return to this establishment.

We had the 10-piece family feast with fries/taters, coleslaw and gravy. Excellent as always and, we even had left-overs.

As a Newfoundlander, I know mary browns is the best place to get a good feed of chicken and taters. also, great choice of pop - including pineapple. you heard it here first folks! enjoy!
