We arrived at 9:30 and headed straight to the fourth building with the green roof. It costs $11 per adult for a plate of beans, 2 sausages, and unlimited pancakes with free coffee refills. The food was great. After filling up on breakfast, head a little to the left for unlimited Taffy for $2. All of the staff were fantastic, answering our many questions and providing additional explanations, stories, and tidbits. It was a wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended.
We have visited this sugar bush since 2011, the owners are extremely proud owners and very friendly, it is a 10 minute walk to their restaurant, but it is worth it. If you love the outside and you are looking for a real sugar bush experience this is the place to be. Along the walk you will be surrounded by maple trees that are set up to collect the maple, ancient antiques that create beautiful family pictures, and when you arrive at the end of the walk you will be built in a newly built large cabin built by the owners themselves with the help of their friends and family. One of the owners will welcome you while the other is hard at work cooking for your arrival. The cabin is beautiful, beautiful and bright with many windows, they have a wood stove ready to warm you up, servers are friendly, they are served some sausages, beans and everything you eat pancakes for $10 ish, bring cash as they are not equipped with debit/credit machines. The parking lot for this sugar bush is located directly above the white church on the hill on Gorge Road. I would recommend bringing your own milk for the children as they do not serve milk. We love their pancakes and sausages while we feel that they can improve on the texture and taste of their beans. FYI, There are two more sugar bushes nearby, one that is also known as The Trites Family. I think they are related, but they offer completely different experiences. The other Trites Zuckerbusch is located in front of the hill the entrance on the left in front of the church of Moncton. You can park quite close to the door; we were very disappointed by our experience. The building is closer to much smaller, long line-ups, cabin is a very dark room, almost the feeling I am in a floor underfloor and does not have the inviting atmosphere that the other Trites family offers a 10 minute walk. I haven't tried the other sugar bush yet.
Wonderful breakfast and goodies for desert! A little bit of a wait but not much considering it was quite busy.
Visit them at the Moncton Farmers Market on Saturday in the off season. You won't be disappointed! You'll want to buy more!!!! Our family has been buying from them for more than 50 years!
