Coach Horses - Monmouthshire

We booked this hotel for a wedding we were attending nearby. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and assisted with bringing our luggage upstairs since we are not as young as we used to be. We stayed for two nights after having to cancel our previous reservation last year and were impressed by the service. We opted to take a taxi to the wedding venue on Friday and Saturday where the driver, James, was incredibly kind and helpful. Our room was immaculate, the Welsh breakfast was delicious, and our entire stay was enjoyable. The hotel is actually situated on a Roman site, adding an interesting historical element to our visit. We highly recommend this pub, which has recently been upgraded with new indoor seating and a great atmosphere.

Popped in after a long walk up Gray Hill, lunchtime in half term, had a lovely bar snack, sat outside in beer garden also a children’s playground , very warm for February, couldn’t fault the homemade chips, well done x

A while ago, we enjoyed a nice meal at this restaurant so we decided to stop by for drinks and food on a Wednesday evening. The bartenders were friendly and engaging. However, we were disappointed with the food this time. It seemed to be processed and microwaved, lacking in flavor and presentation. It was edible, but not memorable in terms of quality.

The restaurant has a warm and cozy atmosphere, with delicious and affordable pub food. The staff is friendly and provided quick service. We will definitely be coming back again soon.
