We wish Eric all the best in his retirement and have many excellent memories of food and drink here over the years. Great food, great service... and great value. We will miss this restaurant as it was a large part of the village.
We have friends who own a beautiful farmhouse near Anduze in southeast France and we visited there a few weeks ago We were brought to this Auberge for lunch, which is a few kilometers away in Monoblet. The restaurant is on site known as Eric 's... We were simply said, but good What a subortion to quality. The menu was indeed limited, but the quality tasty If you are in the area, it is a must if you can board. Before booking is, I believe, essential as its capacity is very limited and local reputation excellent I am not sure I have the better tasted Mussels....
Visited twice with family in August. Hasn't changed and doesn't have to! Shells are amazing, and I hate seafood, this is the only place I will eat everything that comes from the sea. Steak cooked perfectly and the sauce was in place. Eric... was wonderful as usual. Excellent service. Can't wait to come back!
Always love coming here when I'm in Monoblet... Both evenings were great, food simple but tasty and service with a smile....looking forward to returning on my next visit !!
Have been visiting this restaurant for over 20 years...The menu never changes but you know what to expect and they always accommodate us when we book for a table of 16 plus without fuss. Mussels to die for and entrecote steak with Roquefort sauce is...always a winner or the simply cooked pan fried sole. And to be honest the frites are the best by far....local wine at good prices and the dessert of lemon sorbet soaked in vodka, the Colonel, always goes down well. And of course Eric the restaurant owner and chef always looks after us well...and if we can we like to finish off our evening in the local bar run by Davy....roll on Summer...looking forward to my next visit!
