Nevada - MONOPOLI

The service was as bad as all the reviews said. It took us three attempts to get our order taken, when the first course came it took another 20 mins to get our drinks (despite asking three times). The waiter forgot to give us the complementary breads (which we had to argue to get off our Cover charge at a later stage) It was entertaining as we watched how other tables and nationalities also dealt with the slow and appalling service. The food itself was good, the octopus salad tender and delicious, the Pizza was very good and the Pasta nice and firm. It did take a while for our courses to be served and the last course (mixed grill) we were not sure if it was coming at all.. by then we wanted to wait to see how long the waiters noticed we were still waiting... about half an hour later it arrived. All in all, if you want an entertaining evening (Basil Fawlty style) and have a few hours to wile away then do visit. We won't be returning, in fact I doubt they get many returning diners.

We arrived a little early to gain access to our nearby holiday rental and had trouble locating...we assume the owner of this nearby restaurant who directed us when had we pulled in at a neighbouring location and directed us when we followed by car to local hostelry...we had had a very early morning flight from the Uk and were glad of an appetising simple lunch which was inexpensive and happily filled in the time in a relaxed way until we could gain access to our holiday accommodation.

Our first night in the area and this was recommended as being handy, good quality and inexpensive. It met all expectations and the lasagne my husband had was one of the top five dinners he had during the holiday.

Dopo una visita alle Grotte di Castellana tornando al mare, siamo casualmente incappati in questo posto. Piccolo e discreto in tutto. Eran le 14:25 nei giorni feriali e ci hanno comunque fatto mangiare. Gli antipasti erano discreta qualità, niente da dire sull'abbondanza. Inizialmente ci è stato chiesto di ordinare un unico piatto per tutti i commensali. Si può considerare una questione di tempistica. Abbiamo assaggiato cavatelli con salsiccia di funghi appena macchiata con pomodoro. Il vino della casa era onesto. Il pane era buono e i taralli anche. Il rapporto qualità-prezzo è valido, con la stessa somma non avremmo mangiato neanche al McDonald's sull'anello tangenziale di Bari. Una maggiore cura nella preparazione migliorerebbe i prodotti offerti.
