Char 19 - Monroe

This restaurant used to be Monroe Steak House back in the '80s and '90s, and I used to work here. We visited the bar and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent, which can be hit or miss when ordering food from the bartender. I ordered the 7-8 oz bone-in ribeye cooked medium, and it was juicy and tender. Honestly, I think they might have been a bit misleading because it looked more like 10-12 ounces. I was pleasantly surprised! I thought the portion might be too small at first. I also had a Caesar salad and au gratin potatoes, while my companion had the potato dish.

I had a wonderful evening with great friends. I ordered the pork chop special, and it was incredibly juicy and flavorful! I also enjoyed the sweet potato and a delicious salad. A shoutout to Char 19 for her fabulous restaurant. The atmosphere on the bar side is my favorite!

My partner and I visited Char19 for brunch, and it was fantastic! The food and service were both excellent. I had the soup of the day, which was Oyster Rockefeller, and it was outstanding. My partner had the gumbo, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely return!

While the menu isn't huge, what's there, you're getting a real eye, even though I was on a date, you're just a bacon cheeseburger? was not disappointed! mouthwatering and scrumptious. very attentive server without hovering.

Good food, good service, short wait time, and accommodating staff make this spot a go to for nice dining. A little pricier but definitely worth it. The dinner specials are amazing. Don't forget to save room for some homemade cheesecake. They have a special cheese cake every week!
