Johnny's is possibly the best regional pizza in Louisiana. The Sweep The Kitchen pizza, topped with jalapeños and anchovies, is a true delight for pizza lovers! Some locations even offer a lunch buffet!
I've been a loyal customer since the early 60s, so my opinion is in no way impartial. It was my first taste of pizza and will likely be my last. But is it good? Yeah, it is.
Not my favorite pizza but the muffalettas are good.
It's a small regional chain that I really enjoy. Some people are such devoted fans that they'd consider it sacrilegious to even think about going elsewhere. Both of my sons worked there for a while, so I might be a bit biased. I've always been treated well, and the pizza is usually a step above the average. However, the location in Bastrop, Louisiana definitely needs a complete overhaul—it's practically ancient. If you’re looking for something to try, the Muffuletta sandwich is a favorite. I also really love their pizza sauce.
