La Rosa Chicken - Monroe

Went there for like the tenth time with my gf for a quick bite to eat. We got there at 8:30 and they close at 9. I wasn't expecting fresh food just the stuff that wasn't sold so we order our food and to make a seat. I get napkins and set up our table. We get our food at 8:39 in a bag and two to go containers. I say oh can we eat this here really quick. The guy looks at what I assume is the manager and the manager says we close at 9 and shakes his head and starts flipping chairs onto the tables to start closing. They close at 9 not 8:40. Terrible service and we will never go back there. Did they think it was going to take us an hour to eat two pieces of chicken and a side? No one should support a place that treats regular customers this way. Change your damn hours of operation if you're going to close early.

I wanted creamed spinach and this place had it, so I figured why not. A little salty, but pretty good. The Mac and cheese was great, and I liked the corn bread mini muffins. The problem is the chicken and ribs. The fry batter didn't get crispy enough and I didn't love the seasoning in it. That said, the quality of the chicken was good, and there were no huge pockets of extra fried batter. The ribs were very generic. Not good, but not bad, any chain restaurant will have ribs like this. They were for sure overpriced. Overall, pretty meh.

We love that they have healthy options. Love their grilled chicken platter, cream of spinach, broccoli, red skin potatoes... yum! We have tried the ribs and they are also delicious. I wish they will open again!!

Nice menu selection. Fast service. Fresh tasty food.

The customer service is consistently swift, awesome atmosphere, very welcoming staff. I will visit here again when I am here.
