Mina's Spanish Kitchen - Monroe

Mina's Restaurant in New Windsor, NY, is quite nice and clean. The service we received was friendly and reasonably attentive. The food was tasty, but it lacked that wow factor. The baked steak and the steak with onions were extremely thin and difficult to chew. Considering the restaurant's appearance and our dining experience, we expected a higher quality cut of meat, even if the price for the dish was a bit higher. Additionally, the Cuban black beans missed the mark in terms of authentic Cuban flavor—ingredients like cumin, olive oil, and onions were noticeably absent, and the dish was too watery. We would like to return and hope that these observations will be taken as constructive feedback.

Minas Kitchen has been a favorite of mine since their original location in Monroe. I've always loved their food, and the prices are just right! They are quite busy these days, so the service can be a bit slow, but I see that as a sign of their growth. It's definitely worth the wait!

It feels just like home. I absolutely love this place! Whenever I'm craving delicious Spanish food, this is my go-to spot. It reminds me of my grandmother's cooking back in the Dominican Republic. I'm quite discerning when it comes to Dominican cuisine, and this restaurant gets it just right.

Great food! Cuban sandwich and lemon chicken are my favorites. Great people and fair prices.
