I recently had my first visit to the Overlook Lounge, and it was wonderful! The owners are the kindest couple you'll ever meet. As soon as you walk through the door, they make you feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is so cozy and inviting! It's clear that everyone is familiar with each other there. I can't wait to share my experience with my friends and family and will definitely be returning soon. Thank you, Rose and Lou, for your warmth and hospitality!
The owners were incredibly friendly, and the establishment had a nice mix of moderate to upscale vibes for a family-operated neighborhood bar. It's also a Steelers Nation bar, so if you're a fan, this is definitely the spot for you. The walls, bar, and tables are adorned with Steelers football pictures and memorabilia. If you’re a Steelers fan, you’ll absolutely love it here!
Lou was like a second father to me. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and to Kenny. Lou and my dad, Ed Sinnott, shared a deep friendship as golfing buddies.
We ordered a variety of sandwiches: My husband tried the Combo and absolutely loved it. It turns out this is The Overlook's specialty that has been around for 50 years—a delicious concoction of marble bread, ham, and egg, stacked impressively high at about four inches. The Steak and Cheese was rather unique but was also rated very good. The steak fries that accompanied the meals were also quite tasty. Although the wings were whole, the dry seasoning tasted mainly of paprika, which was neither great nor terrible. The fish sandwiches looked decent, large portions on fresh buns, but they didn’t impress—just okay. On the bright side, the service was friendly and engaging.
