Gene's Grinders - Monrovia

Seriously the best place around! Every day I have to bite here. The staff is so sweet and put quality food first!

This place is truly the best! I find myself coming here every day. The staff is incredibly friendly, and they prioritize quality food above all else!

We've visited here before, but it's been quite a while, and I'd forgotten just how fantastic it is. My son and I had lunch here last Friday after I purchased a voucher card from Monrovia High School. I was craving a sandwich, and I was not disappointed. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. I must say, I'll never return to Subway again—this is truly a sandwich place!

The best sandwiches ever!! No other place like this pastrami grinder is delicious!!

I remember when Gene's Grinders was on Huntington Dr., across from the Ford dealership a hop skip a jump from Safeway. This was in the late 60's. Whenever my family goes down south, (I currently live in Paso Robles, Ca), we have to go by the Grinders, heck I have Gene's Grinders in my contacts on my phone. I call Gene tell him who I am, where i'm coming from what time I will be there to get what I have been ordering from him since 1968, pastrami dip/ex pickles, fries a coke. Sometimes I will order the combination/ex pickles, fries coke. Like that saying I'll walk a mile for a Camel cig. Well I will drive almost 300 miles for a Pastrami Dip
