One year on from our last visit and sometimes restaurants can lose their way in a year, not the case with Mas Ferriol The fig salad, foie gras and Gazpacho are incredible and the rice is one of of the best. It’s worth all the bother of going off the beaten track to find. My children’s favourite restaurant in the area.

On a hot sunny October day we swam at platja Castells and then went for lunch at Mas Ferriol. A lovely relaxing place with a real family welcome. The two children were well catered for and their food arrived very quickly. For the adults there is a selection of traditional Catalan fare. The goat cheese salad was delicious as was the gazpacho with ice cream. The pigs trotter with snails is only for the adventurous. Pigs cheek is a better bet for non-Catalans. Altogether a delightful place. Very good value for the quality of the food and attentive, pleasant, staff.
