We have come to the residence at which this restaurant is based for 5 of the 6 last years and have always eaten regularly at Le Petit Fourneau. This review is therefore based on several visits, the most recent being last week. We love eating here. The staff are very pleasant, friendly, helpful. The food is always good, high quality. The menu might not be a wide ranging as some local restaurants but what they do they do very well. They have a good wine list. Superb home made fries. The room is spacious, traditional style, yet cosy. There is also a nice terrace. Thanks once again to the great team for helping make our stay in Mont Saxonnex so memorable.
Be aware, the waiters want you to spend money here, a bit like in the USA, they keep (strongly) suggesting anything. The place is huge but the number of tables makes you feel it is empty. Maybe the atmosphere is different during winter with more customers? Nothing particularly excellent. The perch was submerged with the oily sauce. Menu not particularly exceptional either, so why the pricing?
It's the best restaurant of Mont-Saxonnex. Last time I took the meat on stone with chips. It was delicious. The servers were friendly. The decorations were beautiful : you think that you're eating outside on your terrace. evrey thing was clean but the tables were placed one next to the other.
