Il Cavallino - MONTE ARGENTARIO

We tried to locate a restaurant in the near harbor, in the centre of Porto San Stefano and found this modest and economical restaurant. Naturally we ate seafood and the food is good and the prices economical. 1 Antipasto for 2 , 1 primi, 1 secondo and 1 desert which was owner's made cake and good and of course local wine. The price was 43€, not much for two persons!. Some may say the owner is not very friendly but when we started to discuss (italiano) with her, she was totally different, very friendly.

Very good traditional Italian restaurant... very tasty and good pizzas ! Not expensive at all... Very fast served !

This is a pretty basic, good value traditional pizza restaurant. Also does pasta but pizza seems to be the main attraction. Very good value. Just don't go expecting a gourmet experience because it's not that sort of place. When we went everyone was Italian apart from us which I took to be a good sign. It's meters from the seafront tourist places so it's a good alternative to the pricier tourist places.

Excellent value for money, we took: spaghetti with clams, grilled bacon, fries and the sweet of the day's house (a tart of ricotta and chocolate) all delicious, really! local a little old, but for the kitchen it is worth choosing!

We've been living together for years. the fish is fresh and cooked with an essential skill. we recommend mussels in guazzetto as appetizer!
