Feedback gevenDecent pizza for takeout. We called an order in and picked it up. The restaurant has funky hours and is closed on certain days. It is a bit tricky to find because it is essentially where all the parking is for the beaches. They do accept credit cards.
After almost 15 years of eating at this restaurant, I can advise the following: 1. Reservations are pretty much obligatory for August. Don't show up anytime after 8 and expect a table outside, it won't happen. Inside yes (can be hot, there's no AC), outside no way unless you get v v lucky. 2. Sometimes the kitchen is slow. Very slow. It's a small kitchen and a large restaurant. The food is very good but sometimes getting your food at the correct time can't happen. 3. To mitigate or even prevent #2, ask for your server to be Sarah. Yes, Sarah. She may look harried or even lost sometimes but she knows her tables and will work her hardest to make sure your dining experience is a pleasant one. She will make your dining experience worth your wait. 4. Pizza: it's quite good. Apart from when the oven is full and pizzas sometimes come out underdone or incorrect (see #2). No harm done though as it's very good indeed! 5. The moment you sit down, order a focaccia for the table or even 2. I love mine with garlic, but either with or without just order it immediately. Before the water and the wine and anything else. Get 2 if you see the place is full. Trust me. 6. I recommend any seafood dish, esp spaghetti alle vongole, a saute di cozze or vongole or any other seafood app. Fish: sogliola all griglia is the best fish- ask them to clean it for you. Also a nice tagliata with arugula and fried potatoes is quite good as well. Peruse the menu, there's lots to choose from. 7. The owner is there, always in the background. Any problems, seek him out. He will do what he can to help you. 8. Enjoy the view over PSS and the the fishing quay. 9. Eat plenty and leave happy!
On my first trip to Porto S Stefano, this is where my local host took my husband and I for dinner. It was a nice meal. We had fish , pasta and pizza dishes. We came back a second time during our 2 week stay. I saw many people coming in for take out pizza. The staff was very friendly and spoke Engish when we did not have our Italian friends with us. Service was good. The location is nothing to brag on. It is clean and friendly. You will get a good full meal here.
I used to be a fan, especially at the weekend but two pizzas and a simple fish dish with a very normal bottle white wine for per head is above the tip.
As from excellent title family dinner had a November evening in this restaurant/pizzeria. Spacious and spacious rooms, with numerous tables but spaced among themselves, giving space to chat in tranquility. friendly and friendly staff. Gorgeous and not heavy pizzas, allowing you not to raise the feeling too full. as a starter we took the pumpkin flowers, very recommended. desserts are not bad, especially the ice cream stracciatella is delicious. standard prices. recommended recommended
