Il Moletto - MONTE ARGENTARIO

The restaurant has a beautiful location, but unfortunately that is the only positive to say. It is one of the most expensive places we have eaten in Italy, and definitely the place with the most disappointing food. The shrimp cocktail was a few shrimps drenched in cheap greasy dressing. The fish was overcooked and the risotto was quite tasteless and too saucy. Very surprised to see the positive reviews of this place.

View was beautiful. Food not so much, over cooked fish and the shrimp cocktail was drowning in road island dressing. Not worth the money.

Like most restaurants with a great location and view, the food leaves something to be desired. It's a perfectly good Italian restaurant, but lacks anything special. The service is very hit and miss, and waiting staff seem unclear about who serves which table, meaning that some tables got served far faster than others. Great for people watching.

Could not get a reservation on Friday for Friday dinner so stopped for a Glass of Tuscan Rose. Very friendly and accommodating to my friend and me. Lovely setting on the the beach.

We had a lovely lunch here, enjoyed the food, service and views very much. This white tablecloth restaurant is right at the end of the old harbor and at the entrance to a small beach. We arrived just before they opened for lunch service, they invited us to enjoy water at an outside table while previewing the menu. Indoors offered welcome shade and a great view. Nice wine list, great typical regional food. They were able to accomodate the gluten-free member of our party easily. We were here on a cruise ship port-stop, it made a lovely turnaround spot for our stroll throught the picturesque town (no taxi required from the tender dock).
