Mountain View - Monte Vista

The mountain views are truly wonderful. The owner seems a bit anxious, but the large staff is attentive and friendly. You really can’t go wrong here. It's rare to find family-friendly restaurants like this one.

A friend suggested this fantastic breakfast spot, and during my visit to the San Luis Valley, I decided to check it out. The service staff is incredible, and they ensure that tables are set six feet apart due to COVID-19 protocols. It's a great place to enjoy a meal, and the breakfast lived up to my expectations. I had pancakes, hash browns, sausage, and eggs – everything was perfect!

Wow! The food here is incredible! Everything is made from scratch. The chips and salsa were fantastic. We tried the crushed steak and enchilada, and I've never had a sirloin that was so tender with such great flavor. The service was efficient and attentive, even though they were really busy. Five stars all the way! We will definitely be coming back. Amazing experience!

We were on the road back to Denver and knew we needed to stop somewhere for food. This seemed like a decent spot and it was the last restaurant on the strip of road before we were stuck having to wait. Service was fast and the waitress was nice and task focused. I had the tortilla burger in green chili salsa and it was delicious! We did wait for a while expecting our card to get taken back and processed, but our waitress did then notice we were still there and told us to pay up front. No big deal, since we were chatting and digesting, but if you're in a hurry, when you get the check, pay up front.
