Aux Douceurs du Passant - Montebello

We had originally planned to go elsewhere for breakfast, as Trip Advisor said the restaurant was closed today. However, when we arrived, we saw that they were actually open and decided to stay. We were pleasantly surprised by the delicious breakfast and excellent service.

We recently tried out a recommended brunch spot and I decided to order the Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon. However, it ended up being the worst Eggs Benedict I have ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. The eggs were cold and watery, and the Hollandaise sauce tasted more like heavily watered down mayo, which should actually be a creamy, golden yellow color when made correctly with egg yolk. On top of that, the service was also terrible as our server was quite harsh and occasionally rude. We also ordered a plate of speck for the table, only to find out it was microwaved. Overall, the hype surrounding this restaurant is definitely not worth it. I would not recommend going here if you're looking for decent service and quality food.

During my stay at the Fairmont hotel, my friend and I visited this restaurant which is conveniently located within walking distance. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast - I had eggs, ham, and cheese while my friend had eggs benedict. We also had a lovely coffee on the beautiful veranda. The staff were friendly and polite, and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is also conveniently close to a chocolate shop.

We have spent few days in Montebello and had breakfast in many places. This is the best by far, taking into account price and quality.

Spent weekend at Fairmont Chateau Montebello but decided to take a break from large (expensive) hotel breakfasts and went into town. Lot's of choice and they try very hard to make traditional breakfast unique and tasty. Excellent staff and service while enjoying the meal on...the porch watching the world go by, The menu is prepared with care pride. You won't go wrong walking through this door. Then the Chocolate factory is across the street.
