It’s the simplicity of these people that takes your breath away first. Then it’s the fare. Platefuls of crostini with chicken and rabbit liver, fresh tomatoes or caponata Then the truffle paste! Indescribable Then the pigeon, lamb, Cinghiale (wild boar). We were allowed to bring our wine but after that finished, their house offering in carafe went down well just the same Dessert was ‘zuppa inglese ‘ trifle and a very good version it was too! House liquers, grappa and coffee rounded everything up. Not much space for anything else afterwards! The only pity is we went in the evening and couldn’t appreciate the beautiful surroundings garden with pool that serves their guests in the accommodation and the beauty of the Umbrian countryside beyond
