We have been coming to Piedmont for quite some time now, usually a couple of times each year. Hence we consider our self as a bit of a connoisseur of Piedmont food and wines. And sometimes, we discover a new restaurant (at least new to us) and consider our self lucky. Great value, magnificent view from the terrace, interesting wine list and of course great food!
The Tre Colli is our local trattoria which we frequent four or five times a year. The rooms are cosy, the welcome is warm, the outside terrace area in the summer is absolutely lovely and they welcome well behaved dogs. The cooking is fairly traditional Piedmontese fayre (but with nice twists) and local quality artisan producers are supported. Portions are quite generous, so often we aim for 2 antipasti and a primo, unless, of course there is tripe on the secondo menu! I have serious dietary needs which are always respected – thank you. Recently the wine list has largely edged out of the 5 – 8 year old vintage level, but there is still a selection of interesting wines at sensible prices the mark up appears to be x 2. For a three course meal for two with a decent bottle of wine and coffee (outside the truffle season), budget between €80 and €85.
Personale cordiale, amichevole ed efficiente. Ottimo pranzo.
