Unfortunately this establishment appears to think the way to encourage visitors is to broadcast loud beat music from a large speaker out across the public square. Completely inappropriate for the setting of an historic mediaeval hill town. Bear in mind this was Tuesday lunchtime (12:30 , not a friday evening happy hour!! We decided to eat at L'Alchemista instead, and judging by the number of occupied covers outside at each establishment, others made a similar judgement. This noise pollution has completely spoiled the atmosphere in this beautiful hilltop town's Square. The restaurant has a palm frond covered bamboo welcome desk(? bar(? , more suited to Cococabana than Umbria probably tells you all you need to know...
A number of our favorite places were closed on Monday so we gave this one a try. The location on the square is perfect and the food was quite good. Of particular note was the prosciutto and melon and the lasagne. The meat was from Norcia and the melon was perfectly ripe. Definitely on the ever-growing list of places to return to.
We stopped for a lunch in Montefalco. The location is perfect, on the main square. The service was quick and nice. The food ok. We had taglieri of cheese and salami and a glass of white wine. Overall a nice place
Good wine, good both the smell and the roast pork. classic Umbrian appetizers, with good sliced. normal service.
Excellent focacceria with quality meat. a little bit scarce for other types of food (including the first without pasta or risotto. courteous service and ready. normal prices.
