Mr. Baguette - Monterey Park

In my opinion, Mr Baguette is consistently one of the best franchises to buy BANH MIs. Consider blessed and happy when one of their locations is close to your home or work.

The service is fine. But the Vietnamese coffee is absolutely great. It is sad that prices continue to rise. It was just $2.99 before coffee now it's $4.99. The bread is good, we only had coffee and a baguette we enjoyed. Lucky to get it while fresh it comes so warm and soft. Yummy!

From April 2021: You can enter the restaurant now, but your room is still closed. Beautiful and slim-improved menu now shows its variety of articles much better! I'm trying to try the other sandwiches because they all look so good! Bread: You can choose and upgrade to soft French role, sesame or croissant. The standard is crispy French roll. You have sufficient plexiglass barrier between you and the staff who both have in the register where you need to order and where you go to get your food. As always, it is very clean inside. Sign says they close at 5:00. Fav banh mi place in the area. Service is always beautiful. Bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. You can't go wrong with the first pate tastes good. A fresh sandwich with delicious vegetable and fresh Zilantro! Another fav is the grilled pig #5.

I visited during COVID-19 period when you can only do take out. I think the French bread is crunchy and soft inside but the crispy texture outside of the bread is not there. Ingredients were so so and not consistent and not very tasty. Other Bahn mi places used more flavorful meats and outstanding condiments. It is just okay place for a decent Vietnamese sandwich.

The quality is good but it's a bit pricey for what it is. The bread is extra crispy to the point where it's somewhat painful to eat a full sandwich without crushing it first.
