Shinano - Monterey Park

The restaurant was very peaceful and the dishes arrived quickly. Personally, I found the food to be delicious and expertly prepared.

As the story goes, Yamas on Main in Alhambra was my family's favorite Japanese restaurant. Sadly, it closed down. We tried many other restaurants, but to no avail. Then we came across Shinanos in Monterey Park. Delicious! It's not your hip, modern restaurant, but very cozy and welcoming. It's going to be our go-to Japanese restaurant now. This sushi restaurant is the best. I have been going there for over 23 years.

We always go for the Shinano combination dinner at this restaurant, and it never fails to impress us. This time, we decided to try their roasted brussel sprouts and they were fantastic! We always order by phone and pick up our food a few minutes later. The customer service here is always exceptional. We highly recommend this place.

Founded in 1977, this restaurant has a nostalgic old school vibe. After passing by for years, I finally decided to stop in and try the Sukiyaki. The interior décor is a blast from the past, and the friendly staff greeted me with a smile.
