Sushi Sai Japanese - Monterey Park

I ordered the spicy calamari, which had a nice kick that I absolutely loved. The eel rice bowl came with miso soup, and both were fantastic. The eel was delicious, and the miso soup packed a lot of flavor. The calamari rings were perfectly battered too. I also tried the premium sashimi plate, which included scallop, octopus, tuna, salmon, bluefin tuna, and possibly swordfish. Everything was incredibly fresh and tasty!

I hate to say this but the owner needs to have stronger work ethics. She can't just open and close the restaurant as she pleases; she needs to abide by the opening hours as posted. She needs to consider this as a business not a hobby and take it seriously.

I enjoyed a delightful dinner at this restaurant that offered an exceptional dining experience. The food was outstanding, earning a perfect rating of 5 for its taste and presentation. The service was equally impressive, with attentive staff who made sure we had everything we needed, also deserving a perfect score of 5. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, contributing to an overall enjoyable evening, which also receives a top rating of 5. Considering that the price per person ranged from $10 to $20, I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and a comfortable setting.

We regret so much eating at this Japanese restaurant. The sashimi was totally discolored and tasted bad. There was only one other table of customers but we had to wait for more than 30 min to get any food. The easiest thing to do is California rolls and yet it came out like a big lump of rice with no avocado or cucumber. The dinner served the salad mix with the teriyaki beef on the same plate so the salad dressing got mixed w the teriyaki sauce which tasted terrible. The server was rude too when we complained about the wait. We wasted money and time at this tiny pathetic Japanese restaurant. We won’t go back for sure and wanted to warn people about this very old , bad hygiene restaurant.

It's really hot outside, making the cold udon noodles, sushi, and beer an ideal choice! The prices are also very reasonable, and the staff is delightful. The place is spotless, featuring a sushi bar and tables suitable for both couples and large families. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
