Layer's Cake And Bakery - Monterey

I ordered a cake to pick up. I don 't live in the area and so I started by calling. They were friendly and helpful and then I ordered online. I was disappointed that their build a cake did not have any flavored frosting other than chocolate and cream cheese (not counting marzipan). They have several cake base flavors and fillings but, for example, if I wanted a yellow cake with raspberry puree buttercream filling the only suitable option for frosting was plain buttercream. I went for one of their pre-built cakes (carrot) and it was fine but nothing to race back for.

Our wedding cake was absolutely phenomenal. We went with german chocolate and the carrot cake flavor— the guests still comment how good the cake was. They delivered to our venue with absolutely no problems. Super easy to work with throughout the process. The only downside is that the wedding cake turns out so much better than the cake samples that they provide you, so I wouldn’t judge what your wedding cake will actually taste like from the samples. Would absolutely recommend for your wedding in the local area! Thank you again!
