The atmosphere was also great, we got to choose a table outside by the fire with a nice view over the water, but the big star goes to the service! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The server helped us find which food we could eat based on allergies and informed us about road closures which saved us a lot of time on our drive. Sadly I never got his name, but I hope you know who you are! All in all, five stars! If I ever find myself visiting the states again, I know where to stop for lunch. Cheers from Sweden!
Friday, 11/10/2023 Snacked at London Bridge Pub. Address is 256 Figueroa St #2, Monterey, CA 93940. Right at the warf. It's paid parking. Like $1.50 per hour. We went for drink happy hour and warm, enticing fire place. Upon arrival... Pros: 1) staff was very nice. We got seated right away. 2) server is so sweet and nice. She took our drink orders and food orders. She had so much patience with us. 3) foods were okay. Clam chowder was ok. 4) they have a bar, seating inside and seating outside. Cons: 1) none. Conclusion: Cute little pub. Nice to hang out and drink at the warf. Staffs were nice. The fire place on top of the table was pretty nice. They use the empty 6 pack beer bottle box as a ketchup/mustard holder. Creative to reuse things. I liked that. I like this little pub.
The London Bridge Pub always has consistently good food and service. I had left a review about 5 years ago with 3 stars, but it's time for an update. This is our go to place when dining in Monterey. It's close to the beach, has a great view of the marina, plenty of paid parking, the servers are very attentive and the beer selection is pretty good, too! Over the past few years, we find that we we have dined at LBP at least once a month. The burgers, both with the bun and without, are excellent and cooked to order. I recommend the fish and chips, probably some of the best in Monterey. If you don't want the chips (fries), try the cod bites same fish, no chips!. The shrimp wrap is also worth a try and you'll probably order it again next time you visit. The restaurant is rarely crowded and has a local vibe: most of the tourists walk right by and go to Fisherman's Wharf or upstairs to the Japanese restaurant, but that's their loss.
Was looking for a place to watch the rugby, John went above and beyond to make sure that I could. The bonus was the great service, good beer, and a renown fish and chips!
Great food and amazing service. I had the fish and chips. it was fresh and very tasty. the atmosphere is also great. I'll be back next time.
