Woody’s At The Airport - Monterey

Thanksgiving dinner was excellent. We've been here a couple of times for prime rib and for the first time in about 40 years weren't with the whole family, either hosting or visiting. The dinner was great and Chef Tim's dark meat platter was the bomb. Mashed potatoes, stuffing, great gravy, brussel sprouts, green beans and cranberry sauce with a choice of pumpkin or apple pie, all made in the kitchen. The turkey was tender and juicy as dark meat should be and several slices were topped with two thick juicy slices of white breast meat. Needless to say we couldn't finish it all and my wife, son and I had turkey for lunch on Saturday. This dinner would have cost a minimum of 65 dollars per person at any hotel in the area but was only 42 dollars! This place has a nice ambience and the staff were hopping the entire time as the house was continuously full. They're pros and do a great job. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Arrived early for our reserved time, so had a brief wait. Seated, waited 10 mins for water and 20 mins to flag down a server. Sydney was terrific, immediately took our drink orders, offered us a salad to make up for the wait, took our meal orders (Thanksgiving dinner for 3 and one kids meal), and delivered our soups, salads and dinner promptly. The meal was delicious, particularly the squash soup, dressing, and cranberry sauce. There was more than enough, and the turkey and gravy were delicious. Capped off with pumpkin pie that filled in whatever remaining spaces there were. Plus, airport parking was validated. All in all, a marvelous experience; no muss, no fuss; no frantic shopping, no cooking over a hot stove or oven, no stress over whether the turkey is roasted properly, no cleanup, and no over flowing refrigerator filled with food that will ultimately go bad. And, be sure to ask to be seated in Sydney’s area you won’t regret it!

Great place to eat or relax before your flight. I saw a lot of locals coming to enjoy the restaurant, so it was a good sign this place would be good. The servers were friendly enough…just attentive enough so I felt like they cared, but let me enjoy my solitude at the same time. I enjoyed their calamari appetizer paired with a Modelo. I was pleasantly surprised with the view. I was able to see a helicopter landing which was really cool.

Recommended from locals that Woody's has the best chowder in town, and it was very good. Was surprised how busy it was when we arrived. Service was a little slow, but offered us to have a nice and relaxing dinner. Would recommend.

So I work at the airport but never really made time to try Woody's upstairs from me. Wow, have I been missing out! The food was amazing! Okay first let's start off with the host Ava. She is so sweet and welcoming, and remembered me when I had come upstairs earlier that day to introduce myself basically. A great first impression and representative for Woody's. We sat down in a busy atmosphere with a great view and were met with a smiling server and our menus. I watched the server place two amazingly STACKED dinner plates on the neighboring table, one was a huge, juicy looking chicken and I think a baked potato and the other plate was a giant,THICK prime rib. I don't even know what else was on the plates because I couldn't stop staring at the full plates!!! So we ordered appetizers and drinks and I was sold on the prime rib. My boyfriend ordered the swordfish and our friends ordered the rib eye, the chicken and clam chowder. Appetizers were amazing, and our drinks were so delicious! Definitely order drinks from that specialty menu! My prime rib was cooked the way I asked-PERFECTLY, (and they have both styles of horseradish . Everyone at our table loved their dinner selection! My boyfriend shared a bite of his swordfish, and it was absolutely the best I've had. And just now, writing this review, I am realizing I never offered a bite to my boyfriend for the first time ever. Lol. My food was so good, I ate it all!! Lol. As for the service, I could not say enough about Lindsay, (sorry if I spelled her name wrong! She's absolutely the best! She never left us waiting and was always checking on us, and gave great suggestions. Such a great spirit and happy vibe with her. I hope they never lose her. I felt like we were treated like VIP's! So, would I eat here again? They better make me a chair withy name on it! Sorry that I didn't come up sooner! Can't wait until the next time. Thank you for a great experience. Your TSA girl, Khrisela
