What a charming place, popular and full of older ladies ready to sweeten their lives!! Cake's is famous in Montevideo for its pies and desserts that are a real delight, with such generous portions that it's best to order one to share between two. They offer a variety of teas, natural juices, and an Italian cappuccino served in a small glass that I recommend. For 10 euros, we had a great pie with meringue, dulce de leche and dark chocolate, a couple of coffees, and mineral water. It's not cheap, but Montevideo is a very expensive city. Also, if you go on a Thursday, there is a fashion show (fashion for a mature age group) and then they have a raffle of products of all kinds: cosmetics, kitchenware, plants, and even a trip. Hilarious, I plan to come back...
