Absolutely fantastic restaurant in montevideo, best in the city for me. eat wine and service its excellent experience!

Great food and the Service was exceptional. Owner/chef is out around the tables all night long checking on everything and it's truly fresh food as they only have a certain amount per day.

Tona is a nice and cosy restaurant. They have a large variety of food. With two menus, an original and creative one and another with more typical Uruguayen food. The place is small so there are not a lot of tables, I recommend to call in advance. Food was very good. Nevertheless, the dining room was a bit smelly as it’s an open kitchen.

Decor: Nice. 7/10 Service: Pretty decent. 8/10 Food: Average. Uneventful. Nothing special. The meatballs in tomato sauce were very boring. The beef tongue vinagrette was good. The Spanish tortilla was OK. Prices on the expensive side. 5/10 Wine: Extensive wine list but grotesquely overpriced. 3/10. Summing up: I really don't get the hype about this place. 5/10
