Capitol Oyster - Montgomery

I truly adore this charming riverside restaurant. It’s a Southern gem! The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and it’s filled with nostalgic vibes. There’s also a huge, friendly black cat who loves to hang around and will happily share your cheese sticks. I cherish the memories of my entire Robbins family enjoying a fantastic meal there right after a photo shoot and interview for an international magazine article about our family-owned transmission shops. I miss my Poppa Robbins dearly. Such wonderful times!

The food was absolutely delicious! We enjoyed the fried catfish, fried shrimp, Snow Crab legs, and more. Everything was cooked to perfection, and I would definitely recommend this place!

Absolutely amazing – enough said! Edit: I returned about a month later and ordered the raw oysters, but they were tipped over and spilled all their delicious juices. I also tried the frog legs with coleslaw, but the breading fell off as soon as I picked them up, leaving me with bland frog legs. The coleslaw was just pickled vegetables. I wouldn't recommend it.

It was my first time here, and I appreciated everything. Thank you for the hospitality.

Live MUSIC on Sunday evening....WOW what a lineup....grilled red snapper, gumbo, snow crab, ribeye steak. Sitting on the deck looking over the Alabama River. Even a SWEET kitty came by for a visit. I LOVE the staff....everyone is working hard. Great Family Vibe...
