Chris' Hot Dog - Montgomery

My favorite, must go place, in Montgomery. Love the hot dogs. Went as a child and I love the nostalgia there. Still pretty old school set up and menu hasn't changed much. Only thing I wish they had was orangeade like when I was a kid. Definitely recommend sitting at the bar, can watch then build dogs and burgers and interact with all the customers that come through. Staff super friendly.

Best hot dogs with the special secret sauce in America! Great service, friendly staff, great prices! The 3rd generation owner even walked around on a Saturday afternoon asking about our experience and thanked us for coming in. Love those Chris' hotdogs!!

WOW no trip to Montgomery would be complete without hitting up this spot. The double burger special all the way and hot dog special all the way. Both come with double meat. Fries and onion rings were also amazing. You can feel the history walking in the door.

So, we had planned a trip to Montgomery, AL, and had asked friends for suggestions on interesting places to eat. They told us we HAD to go to Chris' Hot Dogs, so we did! We discovered that what they really serve is little pieces of heaven in a bun. These hot dogs were so good, they melted in our mouths. My better half doesn't care for sauerkraut, so she ordered hers without. For me, I had them all the way. The dogs are smothered in a secret special chili sauce. It's not chili con carne, it's a tasty concoction made with things we can only guess at. But it's really good! In fact, even though we were in the area a short time, we weren't satisfied with just one visit to Chris'. We had to go back a second time just because we loved those dogs so much! We even took a tub of their special chili sauce with us, so we can enjoy it later on our own hot dogs as we travel on down the road.

Cool place with great history. Got to meet Chris' grandson. He told me about the past. Also gave me one of those small Cokes in a real glass bottle. Enjoyed it
