Bixby's Derby The Kartrite Resort

Haven't even sat down and already getting poor service. Just tried to check in 15 minutes early with three young kids and was told by a surly hostess that we should go sit and wait until our assigned time. Not because the table wasn't ready but just to make a point. The dining room is mostly empty.

Appateizers are better then the actual meal. Seared tuna wonton and pork belly Bao bun was good but the spare rib pasta dish was terrible. No flavor, carrots were still hard and greasy. Kids meals spaghetti was gross. Service was a little slow bringing out food but the server was nice. Location is inside the the kartrite, it was clean. A lot of families with their kids.

I really thought this restaurant would be great because it seemed higher end. We got there and the place was dead. Maybe 3 tables were seated including us. Took a while for the waitress to come take our drink order. Then another 15 minutes to get the drinks. There were literally two waitresses and 3 seated tables so there was no reason for it to take that long. I kinda felt bad for her because she seemed stressed. We ordered our appetizers and food. Took about 45 minutes to get the appetizers. The food was very subpar. We got the sliders and the crab cakes. The crab cakes were ok but the sliders were very over cooked. Took another 45 minutes to get dinner. Not once did she come check on us to see if we wanted anything else to drink. She comes out with our dinner before she cleared all the plates from the appetizers. We asked if she could take some plates away and she gave us an attitude. The following day I was sitting at a bar talking to one of the waitresses and she has said that the bus boy does nothing but sit on his phone the whole time. Where is management?!?! Why is no one keeping an eye on the employees?!?? I actually felt bad because the waitresses were trying to do their best but they were talking on the job of the bus boy. Dinner was ok but nothing to write home about. End result was $300 for 4 people. Definitely don't recommend this place at all!

I just ate here with my family and the food was amazing. amazing quality. The beef stew was the best I've ever had. I was happy and fully at the end. Service was quick and the server was friendly.
