Pop's -b-que - Monticello

No longer in business and hasn't been in several years. Was pretty good for small town while it was open.

It's not pops bar-b-que any more its pizza wing and things

CLOSED! Yay they're outta business and a pizza wings and things is going in instead! The food was ok. Not the best and not the worst I've ever had. However the blonde that took our order seemed posed off that we were even there. She never smiled or said thank you. When I asked the kids in the restaurant if they could have someone refill my tea I could see this blonde back there and smiled at her and she gave me a total blank, eat **** stare in return. I had the pork ribs with Mac and cheese and stew (they were out of what I wanted, slaw and potato salad and this was Friday at 5pm). The Mac and cheese was inedible and the stew was ok but very watery. The ribs were 90% fat and very little meat. So far in Monticello I've not found a restaurant worth my money. We will just keep driving to the next town from now on.

If you really like barbecue and smoke me this is the place for you Pops has a half a smoked chicken plate for $9 that will make your tongue slap yourself in the forehead that's just how good it is y'all come get some
