I went to the mas in the afternoon and asked for a menu. I was informed that the menu has not yet been printed, but was shown in the kitchen where the cook explained what would be in the offer. it sounded all lovely, but I informed him that while my wife, eldest and I would enjoy it, my youngest did not and it was unlikely that we could come. at this point he told me about her child menu. problem solved! we were shown a beautiful table and the staff could not have been more helpful. the food was, as expected, sublime, and the menu included wein was excellent so we visited the weinberg the next day and bought 12 bottles! it was very favorable and a gastronomic treatment we had ceviche with limette and cocosnus to begin, and melt in the mouth with polnta for the main course. the desert was just as delicious. I recommend this place for its friendly, great eating and beautiful atmosphere/views.
I wanted to visit this place but was unsure if my picky (sigh!) 11 year old would cope with the complex flavours and fine food on offer. I drove down to the Mas in the afternoon and asked to see a menu. I was informed that the menu hadn't been printed yet, but was shown into the kitchen where chef explained what would be on offer. It all sounded delightful, but I informed him that whilst my wife, eldest and I would enjoy it, my youngest wouldn't and it was unlikely we'd be able to come. At that point he told me of their kids menu. Problem solved! We were shown to a lovely table and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The food was, as expected, sublime, and the menu including wine was excellent - so much so we visited the vineyard the next day and bought 12 bottles! It was very reasonably priced and a gastronomic treat - we had Ceviche with lime and coconut to start, and melt in the mouth lamb with polenta for main course. The desert was equally tasty. I thoroughly recommend this venue for its friendliness, great food, and beautiful atmosphere/views.
OK so what if it isn't on Michelin's map, in my book it's Le Relais Routier on steroids.
